Depression is Real!

Article on mental health Plz Must read.

By chance even in my student life I come across with many students who are suffering from anxiety, depression etc. and I’m not that much good in counseling but I always try to make a little conversation with them to make them happy, the result of conversation always remain fruitful, when I make them feel comfortable and reliable while conversation so that they can share whatever going in their minds.
I can understand their pain and suffering through which they are going on because once I myself became a victim of depression. This is the story of previous year when my MOTHER was admitted in Islamabad Hospital after that in Mardan Medical Complex because of brain tumor and it was time of my preps, this was a time when a tucked in very difficult circumstances, on one side my mother diagnosed with brain tumor was going, for which I have to spent whole day and night awake with her because there was no one to become my shoulder and this responsibility was on me on the other hand it was my exam time.
I was too much mentally disturb. I stopped myself from going to the top floor of Hostel with the reason i may not be able to betray my mind for somewhat s….e .What I actually want to say How I overcome all this situations was just by positive counseling by one of best friend Farhan he used to call me almost thrice a day talking for Hours and hours and few Bkmcite which I want to mention specially just to give them a Thanks 😊 I left my Room in hostel as my roommates was unable to help me in this situ.So I shifted to Qasim 2nd year and Arsalan khattak 4th year MBBS room as they helped me and Mushtaq and hameed 3rd year MBBS what they let me help in decision in letting my studies off and just focusing on Mother care.
Shortly I will conclude my experience in few lines:
please whenever you face such conditions firstly Seek help from Allah and share it with someone dearest who can help you to overcome the tension with which currently you are suffering .

Viktor Frankl, one of the great psychiatrists of the twentieth century, survived the death camps of Nazi Germany. His little book, Man’s Search for Meaning, is one of those life-changing books that everyone should read.

Frankl once told the story of a woman who called him in the middle of the night to calmly inform him she was about to commit suicide. Frankl kept her on the phone and talked her through her depression, giving her reason after reason to carry on living. Finally she promised she would not take her life, and she kept her word.

When they later met, Frankl asked which reason had persuaded her to live?

“None of them”, she told him.

What then influenced her to go on living, he pressed?

Her answer was simple, it was Frankl’s willingness to listen to her in the middle of the night. A world in which there was someone ready to listen to another’s pain seemed to her a world in which it was worthwhile to live.

Often, it is not the brilliant argument that makes the difference. Sometimes the small act of listening is the greatest gift we can give.

  • People don’t always need Advice.
Sometimes all they really need is a Hand to hold, an Ear to listen, and a Heart to understand them. –
